Aidan:

today there will be a celebration of your life and today is the kind of beautiful day that you used to enjoy so much. It was days like this that you and Rachel would be running around in the garden, dressing up and dancing and laughing and that is how I will remember you.

Well, I'm not quite sure what to say. Aidan and I spent very little time together one summer in Vancouver but she was someone who, even though our paths were very different I often thought of and wondered where her life had taken her. As I suspected she achieved so much in such a short time; I always admired her quiet and unassuming way.
Suffice to say that I will miss Aidan; I will remember her for her grace and the encouragement she gave without saying a word; for the shining example of how wonderful life can be when you follow your heart and your dreams.

Aidan,
What a treat to find we shared a fence, even though it took so long to discover. I will always cherish the short reunion we had - you jumping the fence to come for a drink and to pass the Squash from your Garden. I wanted a chance to say good bye as I missed your gathering of friends and family.

I am reminded of you each and every day as I look out my backyard or towards the Chief. I can see your bright smile and I will miss you a lot. I hold onto past memories of track and field and field hockey with you and only wish our reunion here in Squamish could have been for longer... your the best neighbour I could have wished for. All my thoughts are with your friends and family. You are an inspiration to all.
lots of love,
Sandy
