jon simms 2006-02-01 12:39:37 Hello all
Aidan's death has come as a great shock. I guess a higher power has requested her for more important duties.
Aidan has touched each of us in alot of different ways. I'd like to share this story to all who new her.
The flight of the challenger is an intimadating and challenging gear climb in squamish. It has had limited ascents and is considered a trophy climb on the "pet wall". In the summer of 2005 Aidan decided to focus her energy on this particular climb. She made quick work of this free ascent in a matter of days. This is a great achievement for anybody. Aidans grace, strength and style led her to the chains on ths climb. It was a pleasure to watch and learn from such a gifted individual. Aidan has taught people many things in life. What she taught me was how to use my feet. Every accomplished climber has developed this useful skill. Thank you Aidan for taking me to a higher level.
She will be greatly missed.
For
Sean, family and friends
regards
Jon Simms

to see you climb made us all rejoice
your personality full of beauty
grace and energy you were full of truly
now I look up in the sky
and ask myself the question why?
but I see your smile strong and free
knowing that is what you will always be
Greg Foweraker 2006-02-02 14:48:54 Aidan,
I was telling my five year old daughter about you this past November when we were in a long tail boat off Railey Beach. After singing your praises as someone who let her actions do the talking, Tanner commented something to the effect of wanting to be like you when she grew up. Should all of uus be so lucky.
Sean and the Oloman clan, Erin, Tanner and I send our sympathies and love.
